The game has a short learning curve and can be played within 20 minutes of opening the box. The Quick-start rules are a great way to get into it and the main rule-book adds additional features that merge well with what you pick up in the Quick-start rules.

The game is fast, easy to learn, and really puts you in the pilot’s seat. One of the neatest features is how everyone pre-programs their moves and then takes turns revealing and moving their models. The combat mechanic is extremely simple to master, but still has some depth to it. It’s an opposed dice roll where both sides have the opportunity to use skills and abilities to modify their own rolls.

My only complaint so far is with the robustness of the miniatures. The X-Wings are especially hard to move around with their tiny gun protrusions.

I would recommend this game to anyone that wants to get into miniature gaming, or is a fan of Star Wars.
