Boiled down: KoT is a yahtzee style game where you roll 6 dice to attack your enemies, heal yourself, gain victory points and purchase special abilities.

Likes: Player interaction is great. You have to find the ballance between trying gain points to win, keeping yourself alive, and stopping other players from running away with the win. It is a lot of fun attacking other monsters. Lots of dice rolling. Excellent artwork and production.

Dislikes: It is difficult to read other players the values on the VP/HP cards. I’m not a fan of player elimination (however most games are short and players are back into a new game within 10 minutes.)

Boiled down: You try to lay down more Tetris inspired pieces on the board than your opponents while navigating everyone’s pieces. While you must connect your pieces at the corners, you can “rub-up” on other players pieces as you try to squeeze through their corner connections.

Likes: It is a quick puzzle game. The pieces are made well and semi-lock on to the board. It is fun trying to find the balance between getting your pieces on the board while blocking other player from putting their pieces on.

Dislikes: The game does get repetitive because all you do is lay pieces on the board.
