Hmmm ... nothing yet ... maybe ballth doesn't play games that much (or maybe ballth doesn't realize that BG Gold can be earned by playing games (hint hint).

About Me
My real name is Lou Harland. I work hard everyday at being human. I have been married to my wonderful wife for 34 years, I am the proud father of three sons and the grandpa to five (soon to be 6) grandchildren.
I am a collector of many cool and interesting things. I own over one hundred thousand Magic the Gathering cards and more than 300 board games. My Geek Cave is bursting at the seams.
I began playing board games at an early age and just like many other gamers, I cut my teeth on those notorious mainstream Ameritrash staples of the day - - Monopoly, Clue, Risk, Trivial Pursuit, ad nauseum... Boardgaming has always played a part in my life. It was always a thrill to beat my Dad at a game of Monopoly because he was considered the House Champion. Just out of college, board games were a form of cheap entertainment for a young married couple who couldn't always afford to go out for a night on the town. By the time I was in my early twenties, Dungeons & Dragons had caught my attention and then shortly thereafter, Magic the Gathering was hitting the scene and I was sucked in by the awe of this new genre of game known as TCG's. Magic consumed all of my hobby time and everything else fell by the wayside. In 2004, I found this little webpage called BoardGameGeek and signed up. Wow, there were so many games listed here that I had never heard of, so I began to explore. Unfortunately at the time, I was ass deep in Magic cards and still could not afford any other hobbies. Finally, by 2016, I was burnt out on MtG. I could barely even look at another Magic card at that time. I knew I needed a new hobby and my mind went back to my roots, board games. I looked up BGG and, my oh my, how the gaming industry had changed!! I was astounded at the level of board games that were available. I fell in head over heels and now here I am...swimming in a sea of cardboard and loving every minute of it!!
I live in a small town in Southern Illinois and I'm always looking for fellow gamers. So if you are in the area and wanna meet up, give me a shout!!
